Fischer Panda AGT 5000 PE-150N DC Generator
The Fischer Panda AGT 5000 PE-150N Generator is compact water-cooled DC generator that supplies 28V. The generator supplies a powerful 180 A charging current to charge a 24 V battery bank. This generator has been designed for mounting on the front of a M577 armoured personal carrier command post variant.
The generator is driven by a three-cylinder diesel Kubota D722 engine. The generator unit is connected to an external or vehicle diesel fuel tank. The Fischer Panda AGT 5000 PE-150N Generator is enclosed within a robust sound insulation housing which significantly reduces operating sounds. The dry weight of the Fischer Panda AGT 5000 PE-150N is approximately 240 kg.
Easy access to the components of generator is gained by unlocking the releases and opening the hinged top protective cover.
An operating panel is mounted inside the unit. It is protected by a cover plate. An externally mounted panel is included with the generator to operate it from within the command post. Fischer Panda provides custom services for applications that require the external panel to be mounted into an external housing unit and any other additional instrumentation that is required by the customer application. All essential hoses and electrical cables and connections are pre-fitted to the generator base. An oil drain hose is integrated into the unit and can be withdrawn by removing a protective access plate on the generator side.
The color of the generator can be matched according to the specifications of the customer's application requirements.
The generator is of the type PE which is Panda External. Fischer Panda PE generators are housed in a robust housing specifically designed for installation on a unprotected area outside the vehicle. This engine is cooled with a single cooling circuit using an external radiator that is mounted in front of the generator. The radiator is by a protective hinged cover. The radiator cover must be opened manually by the operator before starting the generator and remain open while running. The generator has an externally mounted dry exhaust mounted on the side with a protective cover.
